Lives in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic .She is 21 years old in the 12th grade. Mr. Vardaman, CCFTC associate, has been supporting her for some time.  He delivered a CCFTC laptop computer to help her improve her English skills and to do school assignments.

CCFTC Secretary, Robert Poterfield was proud to deliver a computer to Ryan in order to help him communicate better with his peers.CCFTC hopes to help him feel more in touch with children of his age in spite of the many challenges  Ryan faces due to a medical condition

On Monday July 26, 2004 CCFTC met with Officials of the Pinellas County Branch of the Sheriff's Youth Ranch and delivered five computers, which will be used by the children there. These computers were re-furbished units that came from the most recent inventory, which had been officially donated to our group by HCSO. On behalf of our members in CCFTC, we would like to say thanks to HCSO for their commitment to our program and its out-reach to the youth of our community.  On the picture:Ron Orkney (Cottage Parent),

Blemont Heights Little League Group
Another five computers were delivered to the Blemont Heights Little League Group in late June upon the request of Mrs. Annette Jenkins, who is a Principle in the group. The computers will be used to assist the young members of the Little League in an "on-site" homework study program.

 

CCFTC provided CASS
(Cooperative - Association - of the States - Scholarships)Students with computers.The CASS is an International program, founded by the American government.This program provides technical education and short-term professional training for young adults and leaders from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Upon completion of the National Teacher Training Program, participants will become members of a network to promote education reform in rural areas of Nicaragua.

Ana Maria
Ana is from Guatemala and is from Mayan Indian heritage. Spanish is her second language .She is in America to study English and Aqua Farming at Hillsborough Community College .This is part of the Federal Program called:
 Aid to Central America. Mike Painter is teaching her how to use it.

 

Katty
Katty is from Corn Island, Nicaragua. It's located 50 miles off the East coast of Nicaragua in the Atlantic/Caribbean.

Marcia is from Copan Ruinas, Honduras. The picture was taken at the computer lab at HCC, Brandon Campus.

 

Golden & Sandra
Golden is from Guatemala and Sandra (in the truck) from Honduras. In the picture, they are helping CCFTC with a computer work day.

Juan Jose, Nelson, Victor, Edwin, Aliben and Ismael.
These are students from Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua who have received computers from CCFTC.  Recently, they volunteered to help a family remove a tree that was a threat to the house.  (Not shown is Domingo, who took the picture.)
