Founded in 1979 in Lakeland, Florida by Martin L. Schaffel, Audio Visual Innovations, Inc. (AVI) has grown over the years to become a national leader in the presentation technology industry. AVI's Systems Integration Division is one of the largest teams in the nation, providing custom design and installation services for world-class presentation facilities.


AVI has been a major contributor of computer equipment to CCFTC. The fine quality PC and laptop computers have been very beneficial to families and individuals who can not afford to buy a computer.

 



TAMPA, Fla., December 29, 2003/PRNewswire/ - Amscot Financial, one of the Tampa Bay Area's fastest-growing retail financial service companies, recently donated a total of 30 surplus computers to Cops and Computers.The surplus equipment, which includes PCs, monitors and various other peripherals that have been thoroughly cleaned and loaded with new software by their care, will eventually be given to children from disadvantaged neighborhoods, single mothers in adult learning classes and elderly citizens that are confined to nursing homes.

We salute their generosity in helping CCFTC provide digital literacy to several more deserving clients.

RCMA  -  REDLANDS CHRISTIAN - MIGRANT ASSOCIATION

Recently CCFTC gave computers to clients of RCMA.This organization provides CHILDCARE & EDUCATION  to migrant and rural low-income families in the Tampa Bay area and we are proud to associate with them to help them out in their dedication to assist persons in needs.

CCFT was delighted to help the municipality of Copán Ruinas to fight illiteracy in donating Public library computer lab to support formal education systems,  self-training and non-formal educational programs.

The Wal-Mart Corporation has made major strides in bringing digital literacy to many in the community that they serve. Through their grants to CCFTC Inc., they have been the moving force behind creating:
  • The Palm River Community Computer Project 15 networked computers with a server. Opened 09/28/02
  • Local Adult Living Facilities received several systems from this grant.
  • The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch at Safety Harbor, Fl , 2 state of the art networked Pentium systems. Opened 10/17/02
  • The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch (Youth Villa) at Bartow Fl, 2 state of the art networked Pentium systems Opened 10/22/02

They donated computer systems to CCFTC in February the 14th, 2004.

Established in 1971, PBS&J’s Fort Lauderdale office provides transportation, environmental, civil and construction services to the South Florida community. Discount Printing, owned and operated by Mr. Alan Katz, is the proud supplier of all our printed merchandise, from T-Shirts to custom made cups and mugs.  Mr. Katz has donated his time, energy and a large amount of his products to us. He is a valued business partner as well  a member of CCFTC. He also is our representative from HCSO  District 1. 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has chosen to donate to CCFTC a large portion of their non usable, and outdated computer equipment. As they upgrade their systems to today's standards to fight crime, we are pleased to be the recipient of equipment that will be returned to the community in the form of computer labs, individual donated systems, and more importantly, helping at risk kids in our computer & mentoring programs. We salute Sheriff Cal Henderson, Chief Deputy David Gee,  and the rest of their staff, for all of the support they gladly give our worthwhile venture.


 

The Sun City Center Computer Club
On 11/06/02 we brought the story of our worthwhile venture to the 2500 member Sun City Center Computer Club, Inc. These wonderful people, and especially Mr. Bob Porterfield, have generously agreed to assist us in  our ventures. Bob has made available to us his members and their vast technical ability, to help us refurbish machines and quickly place them back out into the community.
