Last Monday, May 5th 2003, WTVTFox13 Featured CCFTC on their “Good Morning Tampa Bay” show. The group was discussed with the anchors, and our coffee mug was displayed for all of the viewers, with a request for the viewers to support our worthy cause.

Today Cops and Computers for the Community, and the Computer Acquisition and Placement Program provided a networked, 5 computer laboratory for the students at the Valrico Elementary School. These Cops and concerned citizens from both groups were very appreciated by Mrs. Judith Kennedy and her staff. Now these children will have access to state of the art computer equipment.

But on Saturday, she got to work with the next best thing.

A new community computer lab in the Palm River area will offer suspended students a place to continue their studies, serve as a classroom for people working toward their high school equivalency diplomas and provide a learning center for residents.

Our President, Steve McDermott, discussed the organization with them on the air and requested community help. As a result of this segment on that very popular morning show, we received over two dozen phonecalls which culminated in us receiving several computer systems for donation to our kids.
