Computer Lab Debut Set For Saturday

BRANDON - A new community computer lab in the Palm River area will offer suspended students a place to continue their studies, serve as a classroom for people working toward their high school equivalency diplomas and provide a learning center for residents.

The 15-computer lab was made possible by Cops and Computers for the Community and the Computer Acquisition and Placement Program.

Volunteer technicians refurbished the donated computers and networked them.

The computer lab's grand opening is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at 74444 Palm River Road.
